HOW & WHEN TENGGOL DIVE BUDDY STARTED

In the vast ocean, where there's so much to explore beneath the waves, Tenggol Dive Buddy started out as a place for people who love diving. We opened our doors on May 1st 2021, ready to share our passion with the world.

But things didn't go smoothly right from the start. Just two weeks later, Malaysia went into lockdown because of the pandemic. Despite this tough situation, two brave souls kept the dive center running. We didn't give up, even when times were tough.

When things started to get better in August 2021, we reopened and kept going until the end of the diving season, still with just two people in charge. Then, in our second year in 2022, we were able to hire two interns who were just starting out in diving. We also brought in some freelancers now and then to help out and share their skills.

Through all the ups and downs, Tenggol Dive Buddy has become more than just a place to dive. It's a place where people come together to explore, learn, and have amazing adventures underwater. And as we keep moving forward, we're excited to see what new discoveries and experiences the ocean has in store for us.

Our primary objective is to ensure that every diver, regardless of their experience level, feels comfortable, safe, and excited about their diving adventure. We strive to provide exceptional customer service, personalized attention, and a friendly atmosphere that fosters a sense of community among divers.

We adhere to the highest standards of diver training, equipment maintenance, and dive planning. Our team of experienced and certified instructors and dive masters are dedicated to providing thorough briefings, conducting comprehensive equipment checks, and ensuring all divers are aware of safety protocols and emergency procedures.

We are committed to protecting and preserving the underwater ecosystem. We actively promote responsible diving practices such as proper buoyancy control, reef etiquette, and avoiding damage to marine life and coral reefs. We organize regular beach and underwater clean-up events and collaborate with local organizations to support marine conservation efforts.

We believe in the power of knowledge and continuously strive to educate divers about the marine environment, marine species, and the importance of conservation. Our dive center offers a range of courses tailored for beginners to advanced divers, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore the underwater world confidently and responsibly.

We are passionate about fostering a sense of adventure and exploration through diving. We regularly organize dive trips to various dive sites, both locally and internationally, offering divers the opportunity to discover new underwater environments and dive in different conditions. We aim to ignite the spirit of exploration in our customers and create memorable experiences.
